We named him Chance — because that’s all he has left.
One fragile chance to live.
When we found him, he was lying motionless, his small body trembling in pain, his eyes glazed over with silent suffering. The vets said he had severe brain trauma, hydrocephalus, and a fractured skull that caused internal bleeding.
One of his eyes is completely gone — necrotic, beyond saving. The other doesn’t respond to light.
He can’t see the world anymore… but we’re praying he can still feel love.
Chance has been burning with fever, sometimes reaching 103°F (39.8°C), his body seizing from the pressure inside his skull.
Every breath looks like it could be his last — yet somehow, he keeps fighting.
The surgery he needs is extremely complicated and expensive.
Doctors will have to drain the fluid from his brain, repair the skull fractures, and remove the damaged eye — all in one procedure.
It’s risky. It’s painful. But it’s his only chance.
Right now, Chance isn’t strong enough to go into surgery. His blood tests are unstable, his body too weak.
We’re giving him the best medications, fluids, and care possible — fighting for a miracle.
Because even if the odds are against him… he deserves a chance.
Our rescue foundation is drowning in medical bills. We’re still paying off debts from 2024, but we couldn’t ignore his suffering.
We couldn’t let him die unseen and unloved.
